EMK closes €1.25 billion Partnership Fund to support VDK’s continued growth
EMK has closed the EMK VDK Partnership Fund at its hard cap of €1.25 billion.
The over subscribed single-asset continuation fund, alongside EMK Capital PartnersFund III, has invested in VDK Groep, a leading provider of technical installation services across the Netherlands, the DACH region and Sweden. The transaction provides follow-on capital to support VDK’s continued growth strategy and acquisition pipeline.
The transaction gave EMK Capital Partners Fund I investors the option to retain all or part of their exposure to VDK on a status quo basis. Fund I investors representing more than 40% of investor capital elected to roll into the transaction. This figure increases to over 75% when including investors that subsequently reinvested through the Partnership Fund. The Partnership Fund received significant support from existing EMK investors and a select group of new investors. It was co-led by LGT Capital Partners and Coller EQT.
Since EMK’s initial investment in November 2020, VDK has completed 103 add-on acquisitions and grown from approximately €5million of EBITDA to approximately €319 million of pro forma EBITDA.
